excellent article on disaster preparedness

I never really cared much about this topic, and still don't really, except that I should more, since Halifax was hit hard by Hurricane Juan not long ago and we weren't really prepared at all. But this recap post of interdictor's involving what did and didn't work for their Katrina preparations was a really good read. Kinda freaked me a out a bit when I got to the firearms section, but these guys are a lot more hardcore than I'd ever be. They had a big business to run throughout the aftermath, too.
