acceptance: just another mind trip

A quote from someone I don't know named Susann Segal:

The presence of any thoughts, feelings, or actions is never interpreted to mean anything other than that they are present.

I couldn't agree with her more; I feel exactly the same way. And I can't properly describe the sense of peace and nothingness that has been flourishing in me since accepting that everything only is as it is, and nothing more. I've found it therapeutic to have no longer a sense that I'm supposed to be doing something, heading somewhere, accomplishing something, or attaining a certain goal.

That's not to say that I've withdrawn from life or its activities; rather, I feel more 'correctly' here than I even have before. Being present in the moment consists not only of being aware of this moment and every other, but more of being aware that this moment simply is its self. Awareness only of the moment's 'suchness,' such that it is.

Ha. Look how well the words make the meaning disappear. I suppose that's only fitting, though. Why would there be any meaning, either?
