Just sitting in the car near my old office, making some notes about my day until it's time for this meeting to start. Looked up from my page a few minutes ago to find two old women scrutinizing me closely while inching by me in their car. I gave them a very bright smile in greeting, but they didn't seem to notice, so engrossed were they in their examination of me to recognize me as the face of God.
(5 deep breaths)
Natalie Imbruglia is singing "Torn" right now. What is she saying? I'm going to transcribe the chorus:
Oops - I was mistaken - I thought she might be tring to say something, but she wasn't. (Damn, unless she's not trying to develop a metaphor and she's actually describing a rape, which is a totally different story.) I must have gotten lulled by the happy, easy groove of it. The last part of the song with the low-flying guitar solo is particularly uplifting. Shit - Ricky Martin is next!? Switch...
Damn, it's hard not to take this stuff so seriously sometimes. Gwen, that's why I love reading your stuff so much. You see the truth but you're still lighthearted enough to have some fun with it. I remember a recent post about electronic particles that illustrates this point very well.
My awareness is deeply grounded in an intense, burning love for all of humanity. I deeply love everything in the universe as a beautiful reflection of consciousness, but there's a special place in my heart for that most resonant, richest manifestation of the consciousness yet.
I hope everybody has a day.

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
You're a little late
I'm already torn
