looking for website design ideas

iamomI'm redesigning a website for the local jazz festival association, and I'm looking for some good aesthetic ideas re layout, structure, and colour schemes of websites. I realized while starting this that I don't do a lot of actual website surfing, so I don't have a compendium of favourite website designs on hand. If anyone has one or ten faves (including ones that you've designed yourself, of course), could you please mention them here?
I'm scared to show you what I'm working on, but I will anyway -- any and all constructive feedback much appreciated. The working site is here. I used frames, too, but what's the concensus on that these days? Does anyone use frames anymore? They're not always link-to friendly, I know, but this site only has a dozen pages or so, so I didn't feel like it was a big priority. (By the way, I didn't create any of the content on this site -- it's all just reformatted from the original site. Content reworking will come in the New Year.)
