asleep at the wheel

veshadana has gotten me thinking about dreaming. We're currently studying consciousness subjects in my Psych class, and I've listened with interest to descriptions of the research that has been done on the biology of sleep.
Maybe there's a poll lurking about in here about the prevalence of lucid dreaming, in which you suddenly become aware that you're dreaming while in the middle of a dream. Has anybody reading this ever had a dream like that? You know, when you can exert conscious control over what you say and do in a dream?
All of life feels a bit dreamlike to me. Physical sensations are certainly more intense while I'm awake, but neither wakefulness nor sleep feel divided or fundamentally different from one another. All of my awareness and the events of my daily life spring from the same source.
