Anyone have the sample from "Crazy"?
Oct. 14th, 2006 12:38 amIn LJ's mindblowing hip-hop music sharing comm called
thahookup,
giggs106 has lately been upping some nice tracks with their underlying samples and beats, so maybe he (or someone else) has this one. While I was watching that Cesar Millan DVD earlier tonight, they played what I think was the Ennio Morricone spaghetti western track that Danger Mouse used on the Gnarls Barkley hit Crazy. I posted the request to
thahookup, so we'll see what comes back.
I couldn't believe how little Danger's Crazy differed from the original. Seems to be the same melody and everything. And Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse) credited that in this great interview I read with him a little while ago, but I'd still dig hearing a clean, original version of that track. And what a track that'd be to spin at a party, eh? Fuck, everyone would recognize it, but without Cee-Lo's vocals on it, they'd be like, what is that? What is that?
In return, check the following dope track by DJ Shadow and the Automator, from Bombay The Hard Way, called Theme From Don. What a beat! Check it:

Edit: I just found it! By - duhhh - googling "ennio morricone crazy". It's called Nel Cimitero Del Tucson and you can listen to it or download it here:
