Glimpses of light between the clouds

Keep on truckin', I say. Life is a high-speed car chase on a crowded highway - all about being nimble, narrow, and invisible, slipping soundlessly in and out of the traffic, being noticed by no one, disturbing no one.
Walking with the dogs in the forest, I felt like their attention was melded inseparably with mine. They moved in unison with my hands, my thoughts. We were three energetci trees, moving as one with the other trees, rooted in the same earth and sharing the same sun.
As shadows lengthen
The sun burns red on the water
I melt into flames
