awareness is perfect execution
perfect movement is grace
perfect moment is god

recently labeled the 20 minutes of morning stretching exercises i now find myself doing as 'improvised hatha yoga.' have strained myself a couple times due to lack of experience and teaching, but i still press on, even further the next time.
hatha yoga. a lot of people are doing yoga these days, aren't they. i hate to label this as anything though, because the underlying meaning of things often gets destroyed when you name them. hatha yoga, you say, and the construction worker next to you on the bus looks sideways with that knowing look: oh, you're one of those cheesy new age types who's into macrobiotic diets and talks about your aura all the time. bah. he experienced the same thing when he was at the gym this morning, straining to lift that dumbbell just one more time and feeling the lactic acid burn through him like fire.
it's all beautiful, man. we're all doing the very same thing. kiss your neighbour on the mouth this morning and tell them you love them. the world is a beautiful place, and it's all happening right now.
