This Reuters story describes how a local plumbers' union has refused to install new waterless urinals at the new Comcast Center, a new 975-foot skyscraper being constructed in Philadelphia. The urinals would cut water use by 1.6 million gallons each year, but the plumbers are refusing to install them because they require no water lines and will require less labour on the part of the plumbers (resulting in, of course, less pay).
