on mastering the art of being human
Oct. 28th, 2000 12:00 pmno conflict
no pain
no pleasure
no complicity
the middle path
wei wu wei
Living in the world is like dancing through a crowd. How do you step so lightly and purposefully so as not to create conflict in your living, yet breed joy and peace and you pass by?
Understanding who you really are and what you share and understand with everyone else you meet is the first step. I recognize that the oxygen my neighbour breathes just left my own lungs, and vice-versa. The blood in our veins is the same, and comes from the same source.
(I think I can come up with a better metaphor for that.)
