endless unfolding
Jun. 13th, 2001 09:04 amstop looking at the unfolding
it's hypnotizing you, lulling you to sleep
get inside the numbness
feel the feeling
explode the emotion
Went for a short ride this morning, and feel stiff due to inadequate stretching. This body is a carefully constructed machine that needs a certain amount of maintenance to keep working smoothly. This fact is brought out into the light whenever I engage in physical activity. My guess is that if I reach a point where it no longer feels like a stress to the body to work out, then I will have reached a certain level of physical fitness that will allow me to forget about the body's well-being.
Well no, not forget, really. Just set aside as a top priority. There are only so many things I can put my energy into throughout the course of a day. I'll become a more productive member of the community if my energy isn't by necessity being drawn solely towards the upkeep of my physical body.
This metaphor could be easily expanded upon, but the subject is fast losing interest for me.
