chaizzilla and maqtul lately. Some of maqtul's Saluki Regicide stuff is very cool, and chaizzilla's Love Field also has a lot of high points. But I just had to comment on something I downloaded from 'Zilla awhile ago that I just listened to for the first time. I don't think it's hers -- but if it is, then wow -- it's a shmaltzy, all-synth version of Black Hole Sun whose underlying tracks sound to have been created with the Fox Trot setting on those old home organs from the 70s. It's tremendous -- I've just listened to it twice in a row.
Brutal sleep night with Z last night. She woke up at 1:30 as though it were the morning. She didn't go back to sleep for over an hour. And then she still woke up at 5:15. I caught up on my own sleep after giving her a bottle around 5:30 and then letting her play in the living room on her own. I laid on the couch next to her and crashed hard for 45 minutes while she distributed every one of her toys evenly throughout every square foot of the first floor. She's napping now, and once she wakes up (probably any minute now), I'll top her up with another bottle, take her to daycare, and come back here for a good workday. B will be home early from work, which will be nice. I miss her when she works overnight. I used to enjoy the free time, but I don't care about that so much anymore -- I'm happier just to have her here instead.
