Short reflection of 9/11

Everything that everyone is feeling right now? It's all okay. Every emotion that everyone is feeling, no matter what it is, is valid. Everyone can be at peace with whatever they're feeling, because whatever it is, it's the right thing for them. Accept every emotion and let it flow cleanly through you. Everything shall come to pass exactly as it was meant to.

I awoke at midnight after 3 wonderful hours of sleep, and I spent 90 minutes meditating in shivasana and 90 minutes working on the computer (non-LJ!). I feel weightless and perfect right now, and I'm ready to go back to bed.

So, what would happen if instead of waging war against Saddam Hussein, we conducted a massive humanitarian project in Iraq that eradicated poverty and hunger? What kind of objective would that achieve? What would the outcome be?

Better yet, what if we didn't even leave our shores and conducted such an effort internally? What would the outcome be for that? Could it decrease the likelihood of further attacks and violence?

I wonder what would happen if Israel did some really nice things for the Palestinians instead of bombing them to kingdom come, too. I bet the effect would be positive.
